CHOICE Foundation was invited to address and co-participate in the TIMES of INDIA “Principals Seminar”, which was a gathering of around 300 school principals from in and around Hyderabad. The deliberation was regarding “My Child Health” – a Comprehensive & Preventive School Health Screening Program.
The half-day event was hosted by Times of India, Newspaper in Education(NIE) in association with CHOICE Foundation on the 12th of June 2018 at Hotel Park Hyatt, Hyderabad.
Our primary purpose of conducting this seminar was to raise awareness about the importance of preventive school health screening program
We liaised with TOI, Celebrities and Impact Guru, a crowdfunding platform for raising funds for running “My Child Health” preventive school health screening program for 26 KGBV girl residential schools (approximately 5300 girl children) at Mahabubnagar. We liaised with Round Table India who agreed to fund the program for Round Table Schools that have been redeemed by them. We were also intended to make the private schools agree to run this program for their children at a subsidized cost of 1000 rupees per child which we had greatly succeeded.
We intend to conduct Preventive Medical Screening for Children at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya (KGBV) Government Residential Schools for Girls in Mahabubnagar District, Telangana
